Hi, My name is Kohei Adachi, a chief of 94th HESS Drama section, called Dachiko.

Being fully prepared for this opportunity, I'm writing this blog although nobody wait for this. Lol So I think it's time to start to write down what I feel, about 2 weeks left to HESS WP 2016.

どーも、94代ドラマセクションチーフのだちこうこと安達昂平です。別に誰も待ってないけども、満を辞してこのブログを書く時がやってまいりました。

それでは冬公演まで残り2週間ほどしかない今、僕が思うことを書き連ねていきたいと思います。

First of all, I'm really glad that 17 freshmen are belong to HESS Drama section and participate in WP2016 with us. I felt it's sort of an obligation to let many freshmen join in Drama section. This is why delight is a only word for it. I really appriciate it.

まず、17人というここまで多くの1年生が入ってきてくれて、そして一緒に冬公をできていることを嬉しく思ってます。それは自分の代の義務であるようにも感じていたのでそれを達成できたことは喜び以外の何物でもありません。ありがとう。

This performance which 17 actors and actresses appear on will be good one, I think. But it will happen only when all of them perfectly get right into their own role. Getting into a role is the same meaning as giving up yourself in my opinion. Your speech, your walk, your gesture etc. You have to give up one part of yourself at least. Otherwise, you don't play your role, you just speak your line.

17人でやる舞台は必ずいいものになると思います。しかし、それは17人全員がきちんと自分の役柄に成り切ることができれば、です。役になりきるということは、自分を捨てることと同義だと僕は思います。話し方、歩き方、仕草など、何か１つでも自分の要素を捨てなければ、それは演技とは呼べません。

This might be pretty hard because you have to abandon yourself that you are with for long 19 years. What's worse, you don't have your line so many, which makes it more difficult to play a role.

これはかなり難しいことだと思います。19年ずっと一緒にいた自分を捨てなければいけないんだから、難しいのは当然です。尚且つセリフ量もそう多くはないので、より難易度が上がっていると思います。

That's especially why I want you guys, actors and actresses to keep their mind for the rest of about 2 weeks that you have to play their every move even when you don't speak as your role. I really want you to throw yourself away, yourwalk, your gesture, even your atmosphere, whatever. If all of 17 actors and actresses carry it out, WP2016 will be awesome definitely. In other words, if they don't, it will be awful. So let's give it our best shot for the rest time left to the performance day!

だからこそ残り2週間で演者達に意識してほしいのは、役として喋っていない時でも、一挙一動を演じてほしいということです。たとえ喋っていなくとも、歩き方、仕草、雰囲気、何でもいいので自分を捨ててほしい。17人全員それができれば、必ずいい舞台になります。逆を言うと、出来なければ、糞ったれな舞台にしかなりません。みんな残り2週間ちょい、頑張ろう！！！
